G. W. “Big Daddy” Hutson founded Hutson Plumbing Company in 1938 and ran the company successfully until 1959 when he passed the company down to his two sons—George L. and John R. Hutson. Though the brothers ran the company together, George, being the oldest son, served as President of Hutson Plumbing until his retirement in 1987. Big Daddy’s youngest son, John, became President after George, a position he still fills to this day.
